Hi Everyone.
I'm musing on Opportunity. Right now is a very transitional time in my Life, and I believe I'm not going back into the corporate world and am finally going to take the dive into full time artwork.
I was chatting with my youngest daughter about what a good name for her possible band would be and I thought 'I Have a Thing for Robots'. I don't know what made that come out, but I've been excited ever since.
I've got a drawing of a Robot Girl in progress and will then begin to create a sculpture from it. I'll scan the image in some time soon and share as the piece develops. So I'll have a good 2d image and a fun 3d piece.
I've got the time and space to finally offer art classes - sculpture to be precise. I teach how to create the piece from the ground up, using a drawing sketched out to full concept as a template. I think I'll go ahead and document the making of this piece and offer it as a class, though I also would like to have some students with me while I create it, as they could use my drawing as their template as well and work alongside me. Man, that would be a blast!
Anyway, I'm in the Tacoma area so drop me a line at reba@rebas-art.com if you're interested. I'll update my site with this information in the next few days. I will require anyone that stops by on the class to participate.

I'm thinking as well that students could start work in plasticene, until they're comfortable sculpting, and can then transition to Aves Apoxie Sculpt, or polymer, or whatever. Molds can also be made of plasticene pieces and parts, but I'm not wanting to go there yet.
I'm excited about this. I'll work this piece alongside a commission I need to start shortly, but Robot Girl has taken my heart for now.
Love to All,
Rebecca

I use software to translate what I do not understand. But I view it as tractuction: wager on a bet. And as my boyfriend plays poker, and he uses that word, I was a bit lost!
